Stop Saving For A Rainy Day

How many times have you heard stories about people with incredible gifts and talents who end up settling into a life of mediocrity? You've probably heard these stories a lot, and more than likely they are people that you know, or you may even be one of these individuals yourself. The term "save it for a rainy day" is a common expression we use when we discuss saving the extra money we have. The only problem is that we have no end goal in mind, no real reason to save the money other than to horde it. To save it simply for the sake of saving it. The rainy day we are always waiting for never really comes, and the money keeps stacking up, but it is never put to good use.

People who live by that motto save and save because they are afraid that if they use the resources they've been given they will have nothing left for themselves. They fear not being able to live a certain lifestyle, or not being able to pay the bills, so they stash it all away in savings accounts. The problem is they don't understand that what they have is a gift that is not to be hoarded, but to be used to help others and to help make their own dreams become a reality. Unfortunately, fear rules the hearts and thoughts of these individuals, and that precious resource goes to waste, sitting in an account unused.

This is a similar scenario for those who have many gifts, talents, and abilities and never use them. These individuals store up all their talent and potential and bury it deep inside themselves and never see the light of day. They spend their whole lives living an average, mediocre life, never living up to their true potential, all because of fear. The fear of rejection, the fear of failure, and believe it or not the fear of succeeding are all factors that cause the most talented people in the world to put their talent on lock down.

Talented people locked up in this type of thinking neglect to see that the world needs what they have to offer. The world needs talented doctors, lawyers, police officers, actors, politicians, and musicians. They need people who aren't afraid to let themselves shine and to flow in what they do best. Somewhere out there is a person who needs to be blessed and touched by the gift you possess. Whether it is a song to mend a broken heart, or a break through in cancer research, the world needs the gift that has been instilled inside of you.

You are a talented individual and full of unlimited potential. The only block standing between you and success is fear and negative thinking. Instead of hiding your talents, actively spend time finding outlets to let your talent shine and to put that talent to work. Your talent may spark a whole generation of people to make changes to the world around them.
